10 May 2000, departing from Trinidad

The crew of Spaceship is off to see the midnight sun in Hammerfest, Norway which is 71 degrees north. While we are there the sun will go round and round. We will fly, ferry, train, and coast-liner up the Norwegian fiords to get there. From Trinidad to Hammerfest is 5412 miles or 1/5 the distance around the world. We will check email now and then, and will return to the US from Liverpool England by freighter, arriving Philadelphia 25 July. We may attempt to recover some of our costs by sponging off east coast relatives on our way to Florida to be sure our doctors are in good health. The crew will then fly to Trinidad where they will re-board Spaceship to plan their next planetary exploration.
