24 May 2000, London to Hammerfest
Hi all,
Trinidad, by plane to London where it was 80 and sunny, by train through velvet green fields to Edinburgh in Scotland where we saw lots of history, then by ferry 400 miles across a calm North Sea to Bergen in the south of Norway. And today we leave by the mail boat to travel five days through the fjords, 900 miles north to Hammerfest where we will stay a week to see the midnight sun and check our email.
