25 September 2000, Back to Trinidad
We are back from our European adventure. We flew to England, boated to Norway, boated up Norway, stayed in a north facing room in a hotel in Hammerfest, Norway for a week and watched the sun go gliding over the hills at midnight. We had to close the curtain to sleep. Then back down Norway by boat, across Norway by train where the snow melts in August and it snows again in September, boat to Copenhagen (Grand old dame of the sea), train thru Germany to Switzerland, 3 nights in three different Swiss towns, all surrounded by beautiful mountains with snow (in June), train to a week in Paris, ferry to England, freighter across the calm North Atlantic to visit our east coast kids (except for the son in New York since we came ashore down south in Richmond, Virginia.) Then by car to be sure our Florida doctors were still in good health and well funded, finally, we flew home to Spaceship in Trinidad and are back on the water.
